You enjoy your delicious cup of coffee made at the comfort of your home but after some time, the taste of coffee starts degrading. It is because of lack of proper cleaning, there may be stains of coffee that mixes with the coffee every time you brew which leads to that sour taste.

Throwing it away is not the solution. Here in this article, we will discuss various ways in which you can clean your stainless steel coffee pot.

How to Clean Stainless Steel Coffee Pot?

There are many ways to tackle such a problem and maximum remedies are available in the kitchen itself.

#1 Vinegar+ Salt+ Ice Cubes

A combination of salt, vinegar, and ice cubes will easily clean the pot and make it like a new one.

What you Need:

  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • Half tablespoon of salt
  • 6 ice cubes

How it will be Done:

Step 1

Add ice cubes, vinegar, and salt to the pot

Step 2

Move the coffee pot in swirling motion for about 5 minutes till the ice melts. Salt will scrub the inside gently and vinegar will break down the stains.

Step 3

Pour out the mixture and then wash it with fresh water 2 to 3 times and let it dry.

#2 Only Vinegar

Vinegar is an acetic acid that not only gives flavors to your dish but also works as a cleaning agent due to its acidic properties.

What you Need:

  • Vinegar
  • Water

How it will be Done:

Step 1

Fill the pot halfway with water and a half with vinegar

Step 2

Keep it on the stove and bring the mixture to boil for 2 minutes

Step 3

Remove the pot and cool it to the room temperature

Step 4

Scrub the inside of the pot gently with a scrub.

Step 5

Throw away the dirty water and clean it with fresh water.

#3 Denture Tablet

These tablets are made especially for cleaning purposes and work great in removing hard water mineral deposits and coffee stains.

How it will be Done:

Step 1

Fill the pot halfway with water

Step 2

Put one denture tablet in it and wait for a few minutes to let it completely mix

Step 3

Take a scrub to clean the inside and outside of the pot

Step 4

Wash it with fresh water 

#4 Baking Soda

Baking soda is universally used in baking as well as for cleaning purposes to remove hard stains of water, coffee, and other things.

What you Need:

  • 2 tablespoon baking soda
  • Warm water
  • Bottlebrush

How it will be Done:

Step 1

Pour the baking soda into the pot

Step 2

Add water to fill it in half and mix it

Step 3

Take a bottle scrubber and scrub the inside of the pot from the sides and bottom

Step 4

Throw away the dirty water and rinse it with fresh water.
